Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 30, 2026

WorkHIIT ("the app") is developed by Sleepy Wombat ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, on both iOS and Android.

In short: WorkHIIT does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Data We Collect

None. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app contains no networking code of its own and transmits no data about you. The only network activity associated with the app comes from two sources, neither of which involves your personal data passing through us: your device’s own store services contacting the App Store or Google Play when you view, make, or restore an in-app purchase (see In-App Purchases below), and links on the Acknowledgements screen, which open in your web browser rather than inside the app.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your saved timers, workout configurations, and settings (such as color themes and sound preferences) are stored only on your device, using the platform’s on-device storage frameworks. This data never leaves your device, is not accessible to us, and is deleted when you delete the app. Standard device backups — iCloud or computer backups on iOS, Google or local backups on Android — may include it under your own Apple or Google account, governed by Apple’s privacy policy or Google’s privacy policy respectively.

In-App Purchases

The app offers an optional one-time purchase (unlocking additional color themes), processed entirely by Apple through the App Store on iOS, or by Google through Google Play on Android. We do not receive or store your name, payment details, or any other personal information from a purchase. Purchase records are tied to your Apple Account or Google Account and managed by that platform; the app only receives an anonymous confirmation that the unlock has been purchased, which is what allows purchases to be restored on your other devices.

Notifications

If you enable the optional workout-completion notification, it is scheduled and delivered locally on your device by the operating system. No notification data is sent to us or to any server, and no push-notification service is used. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device’s system settings.

Phone Call Detection

To avoid playing workout sounds over a phone or video call, the app checks whether a call is in progress. On iOS this uses an Apple system framework that reports only that a call is active; on Android it reads the system’s audio mode, which indicates only that the device is ringing or in a call. On neither platform can the app see caller identity, phone numbers, contacts, or call audio. This yes/no signal is used in the moment to mute the app’s own sounds, is never stored, and never leaves your device.

Crash Reports and Diagnostics

The app contains no crash-reporting or diagnostics software of its own. Both platforms offer an optional, user-controlled sharing mechanism:

  • iOS: if you have opted in to Share With App Developers (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash reports with us, per Apple’s Analytics & Privacy policy.
  • Android: if you have opted in to Usage & diagnostics on your device, Google may share anonymized, aggregated crash and performance data with us through Google Play, per Google’s Usage & diagnostics policy.

In both cases the sharing is controlled entirely by you and by the platform; we receive no identifying information.

Third Parties

The app includes no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or tracking. No data is shared with third parties, because no data is collected in the first place.

Children’s Privacy

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Changes to This Policy

If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will reflect the change.
